How We Make A Difference

  • CASA for Kids, Washington trains community volunteers, who are appointed by the Washington County Juvenile Court System to advocate for the children’s best interests. The CASA is assigned to only one case and stays with the case until it is closed and the child is in a safe, permanent home.
  • A CASA will work with legal and child welfare professionals, educators and service providers to ensure that the child’s needs are being met and that judges have all the information they need to make the most appropriate decisions for the child.
  • A CASA will implement best-interest advocacy to ensure that children end up in a safe and permanent home.
